India Spark Guide: Aparna
To make sure that we do our job in helping you build your child’s cultural identity as authentically as possible, we work with our international Spark Guides. They are a team of inspiring cultural ambassadors who are passionate about celebrating their culture with the world!
Let us introduce you to Aparna, our India Spark Guide.
Aparna
Tell us about yourself
I'm a mum to an 8 and 6 year old and we live in Singapore. I'm originally from Bangalore, India. I am trained as a medical doctor and was a healthcare administrator for 8 years. I now helps families organise their homes as a KonMari home organising consultant and a Montessori Assistant. I am also a National Geographic Certified Educator and am passionate about raising my children to be global citizens.
What makes you passionate about your culture and why do you want to share it with the world?
Being global citizens and living overseas with my family for over a decade has made our efforts as parents even more meaningful to integrate our children into our culture. Celebrating festivals, wearing traditional clothes during festivals and temple visits and praying to Hindu Gods as part of our nightly routine are all rituals we enjoy as a family.
What do you hope to achieve by being a Campfire Crate Cultural Ambassador?
Sharing our Hindu cultural experiences with families around the world and learning about other diverse global cultures.
